    Lake Hallwil lakeside trail

    You will not only encounter untouched nature on the approx. 5-hour round trip. Impressive cultural treasures await you at the northern end of the lake. Plan a few hours for a visit to the Hallwyl moated castle with its atmospheric castle courtyard and exciting exhibition. Also at the northern end of the lake, you will come across a prehistoric site with a reconstructed lake dwelling. Many beautiful barbecue sites and picnic areas along the way invite you to take a break. The lakeside path can also be shortened with a leisurely boat trip.

    From castle to castle

    The four-hour hike is well shaded and varied. They lead to Aesch through vineyards and meadows along Lake Hallwil. From there you continue along the flank of the Lindenberg through forests to Hitzkirch. If you do not want to reach the hiking destination directly, you have the option of approaching Heidegg Castle gently through the romantic Burgtobel, which was still unforested in the Middle Ages. You can start the hike directly at the hotel or take a boat trip on Lake Hallwil to Aesch and continue on foot.

    Hallwyl Castle - Eichberg

    The circular hike starts at Hallwyl Castle and leads along the Aabach to Seon. At Sigismüli, cross the stream and keep right towards Egliswil. Through Egliswil, follow the marked hiking trail to Eichberg. Then walk along the edge of the forest and march through Seengen back to Hallwyl Castle. The circular hike takes approx. 4 hours.
